My interest in photography started when I was about 10 years old and got a Kodak box camera. In fact the same type of camera my grandfather used for taking Christmas family pictures including the traditional magnesium flash. Yes I do remember the very first picture I took although I do not have it. I grow up in the Old Town of Stockholm, subsequently my first picture was taken during the changing of the guards at the Royal Castle. When I got older I went through some compact cameras and then I bought myself an Olympus OM2 system camera with a 24mm, 35mm and a 100mm lens. At the time I used my OM2 I was interested in rock climbing and the camera was actually a little too big for this. My interest in photography faded so did my interest in climbing but when the digital cameras got less expensive I bought a Nikon Coolpix 5400 and I was back on track again. Now I do have several Nikon interchangeable-lens digital SLRs and I got to the nerd point where I do not leave home without a camera in my bag. Today photography is my major hobby.
